crochet will cause them to break off! its very bad your breaking tons of hairs when you do it
and wax..buuilds up if u use it one time its in there forever unless you take extreme efforts to remove it
weve seen wax survive at leasst 10 years of washings even boiling to try to remove it..it is very very hard to remove we have orange oil based wax removers that do work but evebn those can take months of use to get wax out
the less you do the healkthier they will be
just wash and seperate .if the roots get too thin let em congo (shouldnt need to unless they were harmed, but mine been dragging on the ground being stepped on wrapped round axels being abused caught in doors sat on u name it for years so many thin ones broke at ground level so last 3 years let em congo at will so in another 20 years the hair at my head now will be at the ground then and way thicker and stronger)

crochets a really bad method but if u just started that way and didnt maintain with it they do recover
