Welcome. No one really likes to write about themselves. Especially in a little box that is supposed to sum up who we are.

Have you checked out the dreaducation page? That should be your first stop. Then take a look through the timeline forums to see what the process looks like in the early stages.

wwelomw but u ever take a bath with ivory then after notice a rung of dirty soap scum on the tub?

try leaving thaat week after week

all thats stuck in your hair

try a clarifying shamooo once maybe twice then switch to the dreadlockshampoo bars at least twice a week then report the diference

Ivory definitely leaves tons of residue. How often have you been using it? It may be worth getting a smaller, travel sized, bottle of a clarifying shampoo. Just to help get the residue out.

Soft vs. hard water is due to the dissolved and undissolved minerals. Hard water has more, which makes it hard to rinse certain kinds of soaps out

It depends on what soap. Most normal soap leaves residue and has added conditioners that delay progress.

Check out the soaps from dreadlockshampoo.com. They are the best for locks. If you have soft water, Dr. Bronners is great, too. Or, a lot of us like to use the Baking soda/apple cider vinegar wash. But that one only works well in soft water, too.

Welcome. I guess that you went with the natural method. What are you using to wash your locks besides just water?
