I started my dreads on June 22 2019! well, I started my first dreads then, and finished adding my whole head over a week ago now! I love them and am learning!

but blunting the ends also makes em dry 5 times slower

1 1/2 inch is a pretty thick dread.. thicker then recomended, it probably doesn;t seem too thick due to the extreme tightness of the crochet, but when they recover they will be really thick

even though they are just a couple months old i wouldnt start over thinner though unless it looks like it will be a problem..just cause of the length to start and the damage crochet caused

but p;lease use the coment back and provide a photo

typicaly 1 1/2 is pretty thick thicker then most would want since they dry so slow
