If the color is lifting with the BS wash that is great! Usually that is quite normal...one of the reasons I don't use it so much anymore (it fades my red). If you can handle the fading okay in this way and you feel it is getting sufficently light, stay with that. The quicker way is much more damaging and you must recolor after you pull out the color, as it leaves it a crazy, not believable color after. I would say, just be very careful of chlorine. Chlorine is very damaging and is one of the only substances that will not come out of the hair (even with stripping). It can turn the hair plastic-y and brittle if you subject the hair to it repeatedly. Since we don't trim our hair...it could be a real problem for you. Best solution is to always wash or atleast rinse the hair thoroughly after you swim in a pool. Hope that helps you! Anything else I can answer, please let me know. Much love <3
Lindsey, I am so sorry that you had a question so long ago!! I was away tending to some health issues and gone far longer than I intended...I apologize! Do you still need the question answered or is everything ok? There is a way to remove color, complicated by doable. Hope to hear from you...again, I am so sorry! <3
