Hi Christian, Here is the proper ratio for the baking soda (BS), apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse. You are in India, so I do not know if your water is hard or soft, so lets assume it is hard since you are having some left behind in your hair. Boil the water first for the BS to dissolve into it, this should help you with the residue left behind. Mix 1/2 cup of BS to 5 Cups of water, pour over wet head and leave on for 10 minutes. This is a no scrub method, it will exfoliate the scalp all on its own. Rinse out well, rinse out very well...Now you must follow up with an ACV rinse or the BS can dry out your hair. ACV is also a healthy conditioner for dreads...Mix 1 capful of ACV to 5 cups of water, pour over head and rinse out within one minute or right away. Any longer than 1 minute and you can over condition your hair. It is best to end your wash and rinse with a final cold head rinse, as cold as your head can take, even for just 20 or 30 seconds. This helps the pores all close up.
