Sea salt works well, but it does dry out your scalp. It's not needed, but if you do decide to go that route, get sea salt from a pet store (not food grade sea salt). And mix it so that the water is only 3.5% salt. Never leave it on your head for more than 2 hours, though. Spray it on, let it sit for a little while. And wash it off.
As for palm rolling. I'd recommend not doing it at all. I know it;s tempting. But if you check out my video what only 2 weeks of it did to my hair, you'd stop it all together.
