if u have conditioner give it to a freind

if you have a watch or calendar put them away somewhere

if you have a mirror..break it

if you have money fir a dead kit give it to the homeless

if you have a nearby ocean swim in it

if you have a nearby nearby mountain meditate on it

if u have a head...let it dread

I'm not an advocate that neglect is the only way. But at 8 inches TnR won't hold very well. And you will lose a ton of length with back combing. I in this case, I'd say stop brushing, and wash your hair with a dreadlock-friendly shampoo. Let your hair naturally section itself. When it's longer, you could TnR or back comb it, but at that point, you may love how your natural locks are forming
