I got my hair backcombed at first which was a horrible idea but they all came loose. They are still tight at the ends but the rest is loose. My question is can they still dread
Yes.. They not only can dread, they will. As long as you don't comb your hair, and stay away from conditioners but still wash your hair, your hair will lock.
It is better anyways to be tighter at the ends instead of at the roots, they will loosen in time, so like SE said, no worries...peace
your hairs shortish it will loosen up at both ends by 3 inches which leaves not alot of room for knots but any knots that remail will build more knots
but it will dread as it grows..no worries
