I just washed my dreads for the first time! They are currently 16 days old. I didn't get to do the Apple Cider Vinegar rinse though because I didn't have any... But they look just fine.

I know the feeling. Before I had locks, I showered once a week at most. I didn't smell, and I didn't feel grimy, but it doesn't mean your clean. Same with hair. You're lucky it didn't itch. But just because it feels ok, doesn't make it clean

Mostly it was a combination of not having all of the supplies and just not feeling like I needed to wash it just yet. It does feel good to wash it though

Even when I had "Regular Hair" I didn't wash it more than once a week or so.I had the White Vinegar but I didn't use it because I thought it was too strong for young dreads! I'll make sure to get the ACV though..

Congrats. But why did you wait so long to wash? You should be washing every 2-3 days. Just because your hair didn't itch or smell doesn't mean that it is still clean. And locks need a healthy scalp to grow healthily.

You could substitute ACV for white vinegar if you have to. Just use a little less. But get some ACV asap for your next wash.

Again, congrats. Doesn't it feel so good to wash?
