Therse are the sections on the top of my head from when I had my dreads done, they;re about 3-4 months old now and were done using crotchet and are maintained using crochet (I need them tidy for work but if anyone has any tips other than wax - ew, let me know) I'm just worried these are a bit big? I only have 26 dreads in total, and I feel like that's a very low number, but my hair is quite thin (and the dreads are quite thin, too, maybe just over the size of my pinky)
http://shop.dreadlockshampoo.com Organic locking gel I have heard is good n safe for the dreads
sployying a dread breaks every single haor in the dread most likely many times it wont weaken them to the pointg of breaking but does break every hair they will be thick..probably about as thick as yuoud ever want maybe not too thick generaly 20 to 25 would be a good minumum number tho some have as few as 13 they can gbe hard to care for
25 is a safe range but thick
they will get much thickr then they are now but will taker a long time to
you can always tie them up in creative stules
I have stopped crocheting now I'm just concerned that the dreads will get too big? I have to keep them tied up in a bun for work and of they get any thicker than 2ce what they are now I won't be able to. I can't brush them out and do them again, can I split them when they get older? Can I start splitting them now?
the sections are wat bigger then the dreads stop crocheting!
Not the best photo but I just remembered I should have posted it ont his thread. Tahnks
cool seeing something recent will help alot
Don't worry the bands were taken out as soon as the section was dreaded! I have my hair tied back right now so I'll take another photo.
Take out the bands!I'd stop the crochet that causes the es your trying to fixBecaused ou crocheted you'll have to deal ith even moe messiness as you recover from itThe sections are retry huge and crochet will make them 1/3 the thickness of healthy dreadsIf these are 4 month crocheted they look easy to undo and dread thinnerGot a more recent?
26 is few, but doable. i had 16. There's this dude Olly on DT http://www.dreadlocktruth.com/dtforums/topic?f=30&t=2266&sid=97de3017c4293558323a4c6c09512a82 who has few dreads too. What happened is that he now has super thick ones. Check his timeline, see if you like it!
