Hi! I am a fellow kiwi dread head, mine are new and were done with the backcomb and crochet method... i see you use crochet for maintenance, do you find it makes them stiff and scratchy after it is done?? Mine are awfully stiff and scratchy at the moment...one side is ok, the other not so much....

Actually to hear them breaking you'd have to break dozens r hundreds at onceBut all those your pulling in your creatingThe more you crochet the more you create. And have. To crochet to pull inBut. No you do not. Need to keep them super tidy for work, in fact by doing so you wave your only rights3-4 sessions and youre probably looking at a long recovery but depends I'd need to see recent picturesLook ver all the cachet recovery sores it's Robby worse then wax

WelcomeBut got to tell you that crochet is horrible for dreads! One use to start wont destroy them, but causes severe damage and drasticy delays dreading by 6 months. But it's the repeatd maintenance that destroys themThrow away the hook, never use it again... its the extreme tightness especioally at the roots that and the fact that crochet dreads are so extremely tight they are 1/3 the thickness of a healthy dread the gaps between dreads are very much caised by the crochet..they will need 6 months to a year to loosen enough to dread right
