My first progress picture, I do nothing but separate them a few days after washing if they need it. Sometimes a sea salt spray at the roots to encourage them to knot up.
Yeah I'm ready for shrinkage, I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for the heads up on the spray, maybe I'll just stop using it at all. I've noticed my roots are not wanting to lock up like they were.

Nice long hair-are you ready for shrinkage with all that beautiful length? If you make your own sea salt spray, make sure to rinse it out by 2 hours or it will dry out your hair. The roots won't lock up for a couple of years, then they will still have a 1 inch or so looseness to allow the dreads to move without scalp stress. so use the spray on the other parts of your sections to accelerate their progress. Best to separate when your hair is wet, it is thicker and stronger that way...Going great, thanks for sharing your pic with us...Peace
