Hey welcome, yay another dreaded Mama! My husband and I have 4 kids. One of our daughters has dreads. It is always nice to meet other Moms here.
Welcome. I guess you've already heard the bit about crocheting. Unfortunately it's true. There is no safe way to crochet, since crochet hooks were designed for specific types of thread that are stronger and thicker that hair. Hair breaks pretty easily. And with each pass of the hook, hair gets ripped into smaller and smaller pieces. This process weakens locks and makes then stiff and overly tight. If you only did it once to start, that's great. But if you use it, even once in a while, it does significant damage. In fact, the loose hairs that people complain about and try to crochet back in are cause by the previous sessions
welcxome i would highly reecomend uy stop the crochet tho look around at the crochet recovery sections and the crochet info its 1 of the worse things u can do to dreads
i hope u only used it once to start never to maintain
