Roving wool is so yummy, gives me that burst of color without having to die your hair (which i have never done). you can also see 2 tigers eye beads that i just put in at the bottom there. One love.
hoping you are still around! i can't find anything adding wool around a dread, only ones for crocheting or needle felting it on the end or adding woolie extensions. if you have any specifics to look for or anything thatd be great! thanks
I have removed some of mine just by taking my time and like picking it out piece by piece. time consuming but i actually find it relaxing. I love color <3
yeah the first video i looked at said she was planning on cutting it out?? I don't want decorations with that type of permanence. I like to switch stuff up too often.
There are some videos on youtube if you search "roving wool in dreads" you should be able to find a tutorial. There are also tutorials for taking it out. I think the key is to just put very little in because it will make it take longer to dry if you wrap it too thick.
The Tigers eye crystals I got from one of my local crystal shops, the holes are like fishing wire thickness so i take a bit of thread and needle and just sew it on like a button. that a funny analogy but i have seriously considered putting some ACTUAL antique buttons into my dreads that my great grandma and grandma gave me. Having crystals in my dreads feels really powerful tho. they help guide me and keep me protected and grounded (depending on the crystal of course.
