you do not need to add loose hair  yes you will have a thin bald spot but thats ok    just let the existing hair dread  adding extentions can even further agrevate the balding

I want dreadlocks but my hair is thinning and is very thin on the entire top.  If I only used my hair to make dreadlocks there would not be many acceptable dreads on the top of my head.  I understand I can add loose natural hair extensions to my hair to thicken the dreadlock.  My concern is that this would be very difficult for me to do so I am considering having it done at a salon.  I have talked to several locticians who could do this.  There appears to be two main methods of attaching the extension to my hair, crocheting and braiding.  I know the consensus of this group is to avoid crocheting.

My preference is to let the hair lock naturally but this may be very difficult because loose human hair will need to be added to my hair before the locking process can begin.  I do not know how to do this.

I looked through many of the posts but have not found anything regarding using bulk human hair extensions to thicken the dreadlocks.  Does anyone have any knpwledge or information regarding this subject?  Do you have any thoughts on how to do this.

 Thank you for your help.
