After I permed it in 6th grade it never went back to straight again. Dad's is curlyish though so it would probably have happened anyway.

Amazingly, it is a journey, not just a hairstyle. There are so many good and fascinating things that happen to your hair when it is allowed to be itself and no longer is processed with amonium laurel sulfate, amonium loreth sulfate, etc etc.And listen to soaring eagle and don't use wax - like I said on the phone. There are plenty of explainations why not to on this site and so many gorgeous dread pics formed without the use of waxy badness.
