Welcome to the community. Definitely stop the crochet. It is the worst thing you can do to them. It breaks hairs and makes them much too tight and stiff. There are accounts of dreads breaking off from the process. Let your dreads recover. Dont mind if they get frizzy. This is normal.

Welcome. Do you mean that you crocheted to start, or that you just started to crochet after 9 years? If the latter, stop. Crocheting is the most destructive thing you can do to locks. It's worse than wax, gels, and creams. It does nothing but rips your hair to shreds and makes your locks weaker. You don't want to destroy 9 year old locks
