grip tape?

so i just have a hula hoop i got from walmart and like i said its not nearly big enough..it doesnt even reach my waist when i stand it up lol. so its hard to do any tricks with it but i was thinking if i put grip tape on it that would help attempt tricks at least? like a shimmy from waist to chest and such. anyone know where to get grip tape?
