bronners is ok if diluted 12-1 (12 times more water) AND you do not have hard water

in hard water because it is super fatted it leaves residue from hell

the African black soaps fine in African hair but in Caucasian hair its too moisturizing especially early on

the absolute best and healthiest is http://www.dreadlockshampoo.com the liquid till the dreads are mature then switch to the bars (if African hair types  use the bars from day 1)

these are designed for hard water specifically and like bronners use highly ethical and natural ingredients.

bronners however is a 1 soap fits all uses soap and dreadlockshampoo is specifically created for dreads with micro fine clays to super clean, beer based instead of water  for super healthy hair (and that's what makes it work so well in hard water)

i'll add this after 4 years using baking soda my hair was extremely weak, losing 8-12 inches off  dreads nearly daily

switching  to dreadlockshampoo my scalp and hair were instantly healthier and the hair became muchmuch stronger quickly

welcome

just a heads up we no longer recommend that wash method, long term use can severely weaken your hair
