Soft Dreads
I've had my dreads now for two months, and I only wash every three weeks but lately I've noticed that my dreads are really soft and I am having even more loose hairs then usual. I don't use wax or anything and kind of just let them go do their own thing, but I'm worried that they are getting too soft.
wash if they fall apart they fall apart but washing will make them dread keeping them dirty theyre not gonna dread the more u washthe faster threy dread even if they fall apart they will dread..they jkust need to be clean to dread..so wash 2-3 times a weeek every week and watch em drerad
wash more often they should be soft but they should be washed a hell of alot more they dread faster when u wash em more
So I felt the same way. I didn't wash my hair for two months. When I did they turned into who knows what. I had to re-palm role to get them to what I thought were good dreads. So I washed once a week and palm rolled for like, no joke, four hours a day to get them back to "normal".
As we know though, dreads are not normal. They also feel great when they are washed.
So each time I washed they would break away from normality. Some would get these groovy loops and others would fall back on themselves. I finally decided that I should stop palm rolling, here was a huge factor for that, and I went from washing once a week to every three days. In fact i am going to wash them tomorrow.
As they sit, only one or two dreads have not dreaded and went back to being straight. One that was wonderfully palm rolled is of these two and is half dread from tip. The other half sits is loose up to the root. But i have a good feeling this one will dread sooner or later.
I don't like washing, it makes my hair fall apart.
soft is good but u should be washing alot more often
