Hi I'm John, I'm 18, and I hail from Kansas. I've been dreading for a year and three months. I was fooled by all the propaganda about using wax and getting your dreads re-twisted and all that junk. I can't believe that people are still promoting things like wax now that I know how bad it is for you. It's very upsetting, but it's in the past now. I've been going the natural route for about five months now and I couldn't be happier.I love being outdoors. Biking, fishing, swimming, just anything outdoors. Snowboarding is my passion. If I could do one thing for the rest of my life that would be it. And I love all types of music. I'll listen to anything. That's just a little look into my life. Thanks for reading. Jah bless!

Hey Baba or SE. I've got one more question. So I just recently switched from doing BS/ACV rinses to some of that awesome dreadlock shampoo (it's amazing) and I've notice that my loose hairs that used to lay flat down around the roots have become very frizzy and seem to be starting to attach to close dreads, why is that? I know it's a good thing, I'm just wondering why it started to happen now?

It's really hard to tell. How many times did you use it? If you used it once, you're probably in the clear. If you used it multiple times over the course of months, I'd bet that you still have some left. For one session with wax, I recommend using Dawn or the wax remover 3 times a week for at least a few weeks. Multiple times with wax, I'd say 3 times a week for a few months. It's better to be safe and do it more that you think you need.

It's not 100% effective, but grab your thickest lock. Hold it a few inches from the tip and point it towards the ceiling. If it's stiff and stays pointed up, there's probably wax in it. If it flops over, most of the wax is gone. Wax makes your locks stiff, so that's why it would stay pointed up.

Yea. I scrubbed really good with some dawn dish soap about six times. I think I got most of it out. How will I be able to tell if it's all out of my dreads
