I would say not to use the bandana...you want the hair to be able to move, and sleeping is when most dreading occurs and yeah wash whatever you want to wash..some people prefer to just wash the scalp since that's usually the dirtiest part but you deffinitely can wash the dreads :D

They look great! The roots in the back are a bit strange looking, but give them a few weeks, they'll probably straighten themselves out Do you have a wool sweater or something to sleep on? Wool and other animal hair things help speed up knotting a little

yea looks good but to get it less braidy twist less rip more and rip more randomly (random sizes and directions)

it look pretty good They will be loopy and funky for a couple of months as they tighten and mature, so don't get discouraged if the look messy.Good luck and congrats on starting the journey :D

not necessarily. But some say that you can use neutrogena anti residue shampoo which helps get rid of residues. I didn't do that though, I had just washed my hair with regular shampoo before O started. But you do want to stop using conditioner for about a week before if you use it.also it could be good for your scalp to stop washing every day. get down to washing 2-4 times a week since that's pretty good for once you have locks.
