i never did but mine i hang off the edge of the bed try it and see if they bother u take em out but they never bother me vause i never have my dreads under me
sure did when u force on a bead till it sticks some hairs pushed up so u get uneven lengths and creates loops like that will act like your 1st knots encouraging more to pile up

Welcome crochet is a horrible thing to do dreads. I hope you don't still use it. It's very destructive and can really ruin your dreads.
