Welcome. If you have stopped palm rolling yet, stop now. Palm rolling is one of the most destructive things that can be done to locks. I did it for just 2 weeks (daily), and 7 years later I'm still trying to fix the damage it caused. Unfortunately, the damage from palm rolling doesn't show up for about 1 year, when your locks grow out. And by then, it's nearly impossible to fix.

The oils may be too much conditioning, but that can depend on your hair type. And the silk wrap is 100% unnecessary. In fact, it will hinder the process. Anything that keeps your hair down will slow the process, if not completely stop it. Locks need to move around as much as possible for them to knot up

Out of curiosity, were you mixing the BS and ACV together? Or were you washing with BS, rinsing it out, then ACV, and rinsing again? If you were mixing them, that was the problem. You should NEVER mix the two together. And you should not scrub your head at all with the BS?ACV rince. You can very gently massage your scalp. But absolutely not vigorously scrubbing.

If you were doing it correctly, and still finding white stuff, I'll bet your house you have hard water. Baking Soda is a salt. Hard water has a ton of undissolved minerals in it. Because there is already so much in the water, the BS wont dissolve well. This will cause it to build up in your hair as a white powder. Sometimes it can look like dandruff, but less itchy.

If you can, Dreadlockshampoo.com sell the best soaps for locks. It is designed to work in hard and soft water. I'd really recommend you try it out.

Welcome. The neglect method will feel so much more rewarding. I did mine with TnR, and I wish I had gone completely natural. How are you washing?
