Welcome. Have you done any wax removal sessions? Wax doesn't, and will never wash out in normal soap and water. It's a hydrocarbon, and needs a detergent to get it out. Dawn dish soap, and the wax remover from dreadlockshampoo.com work the best.
Your hair will not progress much, and, if at all, very slowly, if you leave the wax in. It will also make your hair hold water and may cause rotting on the inside of your locks in time
