I know a lot of people know the exact day they started their dread journey but I don't remember. I'm not a person that watches clocks or calendars much. (That has benefits AND disadvantages) I'm about 2 months in now and have decided to leave some face-framing pieces out to give me the option of tidier updos for work or when I just want to curl it and look extra funky! I love it this way and I felt less 'real' as a dread head because of my desire to also keep 'normal' hair but it's my journey so I don't know why I try to use anyone else's standards of measurement. I love how my hair looks! People want to pet me and inspect my wraps on a daily basis now. The petting is weird though..

He's coming around. I was very caught up in looking like what I thought I needed to look like as a healthcare professional when I met him. In his defense, he loves my 'normal' hair because he noticed that about me the first time we met. He's a good sport!
