Welcome. I hope you stopped going to her. Locticians are notorious for destroying locks. Dreadlocks grow naturally. There's no gel, wax, butter, anything that should ever go into your hair. Just washing them 2-3 times a week with a non residue shampoo will make them tangle and knot

Well i have only gone to the loctician twice in the one year since i have started this process. She wants me to wash and retwist every 3 to 4 weeks and use the astringent in between washing. But after she started the process nov. 2011 i had to wait about 3 months before she would wash my locs, whewwww i hated that part. Lol But since then i have to wash my locs every 3 days because it starts to itch. So i rarely use the astringent for in between washing. But i like the look of freshly twisted locks. I try to retwist gently. I work in construction so i have to wash often. Dont care too much for the bushy new growth on my head but its ok on others
Welcome. Glad you tossed the crochet hook.
All you need for healthy locks is to wash them 2-3 times a week and separate them as needed
welcome just throw the hook away and let them recover and "naturalize"
Yes, crochet is very damaging. It will take your dreads months to recover. You will find more info about recovery in the dreaducation tab.
Congoing is when 2 or more locks start to tangle together and become 1 lock.
ACV is just apple cider vinegar.
thanx for the advice
