breakage is caused by damage or by knots or interlocking. i had 1 dread 1 mm x 2 mm that was 3 even tinier dreads combined and was over 4 feet long .. maybe 1 day it broke or i think more likeky was absorbed into a congo, havent foind it in awhile. the thinner part couldnt have been much more then 10 tangled hairs
