Thanks everyone :) and @adam Kelly, I usually have been finishing with a cold rinse lately and it has been helping.

Welcome. You will find that if you have a freezing rinse at the end of your wash it will kill any itches for days. No harm in using tea tree though. I always have it as a part of my mix too. That, rosemary, lavender and, occasionally, peppermint.
