welcome but you should never use a crochet hook they are extremely damaging and only create more problems

palm rollings pretty pointless too and overuse can cause permenant issues

the loops are it dreading they are a good thing

Thanks for the advice Phil.I like your locs too. They look good on you. I actually don't over twist at all, but I do prefer a manicured loc over the natty ones for myself. I partially free form and I only loc every 4 months. I
