Well... I have to let you know that wax will only help prevent locking. It is sticky and glues your hairs together. This prevents knotting and tangling. Because it is a hydrocarbon, it will NEVER wash out in normal soap and water. It needs a detergent and tons of scrubbing to get it cleaned out. Because it doesn't wash out easily, it traps water inside the lock, where it can start to degrade your hair and grow mold and mildew. Wax doesn't help anyone's hair texture lock faster/better. All hair locks up on its own. There are a few starter methods that help you get going, but wax isn't one.
As for the lemon juice. Lemon/lime juice is citric acid. It seeps into your hair shaft and breaks down your hair from the inside out. This makes your hair weak and brittle. When you see people's hair get lightened from lemon juice, that is how the damage shows up
Welcome.
