dreads are never tight and healthy in a week they get tight i[over time

the best way to dread is natural aka neglect just stop combing it dreads itself

now tnr isnt a bad way to begin it doesnt do nearly as much damage as backicomb or crochet (wich is horible) but wax prevebts dreading completely

u want zero prodyucts abt-=ything that holds prevebts freedom of movemet creates tangles when you move when wind blows

wax prevents all movement u get no new knots..but hardened wax it seems tight cause its hard and stiff but remove the wax and theres ni=ki dreading after day 1

its evil its a scam

if u remove wax and do nothing it dreads itself is healthy as can be and tightens on its own over time

Hmm. I just did a test strip. :) but this is very good to know. I live in a small town and my parents won't order me any product in so I asked the pharmisist at Walmart and they said wax would work. I also googled it and none of the documents protested. What product/procedure do you suggest for tight, healthy dreads?

Welcome. I'm so happy you are excited about growing locks. But they will never mature if you keep that wax in there. Wax completely prevents locks from forming and leads to mold and mildew because it traps water inside your locks.

The best thing to do is get a good clarifying shampoo and wash them out very well 2-3 times and start over with no wax, gels, creams, goo of any kind. And never use any "tools"

Check out the dreaducation page before doing anything. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask or post a discussion. We don't mind answering any questions even if they've been asked 1000 times before. Anything we can do to help

Welcome. Definitely check out the dreaducation page first. Then take a look through the timeline forums. Locks need time. The only way to get locks right away is to irrevocably destroy your hair so that even those insta-locks won't last 5 years.

If you want to use a starter method, TnR is the most healthy. Back combing is fine, but it does do aconsiderableamount of damage
