Hey! Just wondering if I combined my free forming locs with rubberbands where my interlocking ended and where the new growth begins. It is thick at roots with about 1 and a half inch of growth, just so it would mesh together after a couple of washes to make the roots bigger. I have been freeforming for 6 months, 2 strand twisted 9 mths ago and interlocked 3x, I hate that I interlocked I wish I had started from scratch with freeform i love it, it just makes for a thicker head of hair for my fine strands, medium density and afro hair. I probably need to just leave it alone but will the bands harm it? Maybe I'll wait for some more growth, hard to say.

welcome the interlocking is horrible for the roots so that's weakened the foundations, sounds like it stunted progress too?

glad your on a better path now :)
