Confliction over tattoos

Hey everyone, I'm not quite old enough to get a tattoo without parental consent yet but I'm planning for the future. Anyway, my confliction is that while I have heaps of ideas for tattoos I would like and I love the idea of expressing myself through art on my body but the conflict comes from the fact that I don't want to do anything unnatural to my body (the reason I have dreads and don't plan on getting any piercings)so what do you guys reckon? Is there maybe another form of body art that would be more fitting? I have heard of henna but I'm thinking something more permanent. Peace
