Welcome. Adam and Eagle are right. Wax is a hydrocarbon. No amount of normal soap and water will remove it unless it's a detergent. Dawn dish soap and some other "tough on grease" soaps will work. But your average dreadlocks soap will not get the wax out. It will build up in the core of your locks and make them hard and feel mature. But once you get the wax out, you will see that they are not that mature. Also, wax creates the perfect environment for mold and mildew to grow. It's necessary to get it out so you can have your locks for years.

Also, palm rolling a lot will only destroy your roots. Check out my videos on hat only 2 weeks of palm rolling did. This is very common. If you do it long term, you can damage them so much that they can't be fixed. Only 2 weeks of did so much damage to mine, that 6 years later I am still trying to fix it

wax can survive 190 years of trying to wash it out it needs extra special care and at that agressive and repeated care to get it out its extremely hard to remove

apple cider vinager is acididc enough to spart removing a small ammount then hot as hell (but safe..barely) water and dwn dish soap (excessive ammounts) and agressive scrubbing then the wax b gone to get the reast and repeat repeat repeat long after your sure its gone cause no matter how suee you are chances are you'll v-be shocked to find its still there
howed he start his dreads shouldnt all be perfect cylinders

Well its good that you haven't used it again, but it will still be there. Have a read of the dreaducation tab to see why it is so bad. It is better to just get it out. It's up to you, but everyone here will advise just that!

Wax is terrible for wax. You should remove it immediately. It only creates the impression of dreads. You can use Wax-B-Gone or many washes with warm water and dish detergent. Other than that, welcome to the forum.
