The stuff from dreadlockshampoo.com is made by bucks county soap, inc. They are a small local company out of Bucks County, Pa. So small that after Sandy hit the east coast they were out of commission for about 20 days until their power came back on. They use almost all 100% organic ingredients, and try to use as many local products as they can. Their owner, Vicky, is actually a member here and a friend of Eagles. She is very friendly and helpful. They always try to send free samples of new products out with every order, too. If you want to stay away from big corporations, that's great. Go with the soaps I mentioned. BS is made by huge corporations.
Welcome. Aloe is good for making your locks look neat and tidy for a special occasion, but it shouldn't be used as a shampoo. It is way too conditioning. It slows your progress down. Not to mention that it doesn't clean your hair a bit.
Check out dreadlockshampoo.com. They makes the best shampoos for locks around. If you have soft water, Dr. Bronners is great. Many people like to use Baking soda and Apple cider , too. Check out some of the posts on how to mix it before you do that one
Thanks so much for the reply to my blog. Your right, I don't have anything to prove. Ive been keeping a photo dairy for myself and I think they're doing what they should at this point. I was just having a meltdown that day and need support.
