Washing more frequently okay?

General Questions

so im at day 6 now at my neglect journey, i just tnr'd a couple of dreads yesterday though, but i didn't want to do my whole head because i wanted to go through the neglect journey. My hair gets very oily if i dont wash after about 2 days, and since my hair is no longer getting combed its always sitting on my forehead which causes a lot of build up of grease. My question is, i know we dont wash as often because of problems with dreads drying, and right now im washing every 3 days. Am i able to wash more frequently? my hair is short so drying wouldn't be a problem, but would it cause my dreads to take longer to dread? Im currently doing BS/ACV wash

How to tame the mane? day 3 neglect journey

General Questions

So this is day 3 of my neglect journey, i know my hair is short but ive heard there doesn't really need to be a long length for neglect. All i want to know is what i can do to tame some of my hair, because right now it is ridiculously crazy and im not even sure i can go to work like this tomorrow.

Baking soda acv wash makes hair itchy and oily?

General Questions

So after taking out my old dreads and growing out my hair, ive decided to go natural and just neglect it till my dreads start forming. But the problem is, im using the baking soda wash and am having the same problems as last time. It makes my hair, particularly on my forehead, very oily, and my scalp is very itchy. I used 10 cups of water to 1 cup of baking soda, and then a spoonful of ACV to 10 more cups of water, but it never feels like it does anything. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Should i comb out my dreads and go natural?

Help! Save My Dreads

It might just be that i didnt use ACV from my baking soda wash and i didnt rinse well enough, or it could be just dirt and dandruff. But whenever i scratch at it with my nails it breaks and bleeds, that what that red spot is if you look close enough. It just doesnt really look good to me and im not sure what to do

Should i comb out my dreads and go natural?

Help! Save My Dreads

So i back combed about a week ago, and i really dont like how my dreads are turning out. The back of my hair wouldnt dread at all, so it looks goofy. All of it is coming undone, and i didnt section at all and i think it looks funny. Since its so early, should i comb them out and start natural? people tell me they look good, but i keep obsessing over them and dont know what to do. there is a lot of build up on my scalp which gets wet when i scratch at it and i dont know what to do about that. What should i do?

Are my roots going to tighten up?

Dread Maintenance

Yeah thats what I was thinking, I guess I should just try and let them do their thing. Another question, for washing, I washed yesturday. I used a baking soda wash and then rinsed it out with water, I didnt scrub or anything, I just dipped my hair in the sink and soaked it. Now my scalp is very oily and itchy whenever i scratch at it under the dreads, it feels like there is lots of residue there. what can i do about this? i feel like the wash didnt do anything at all.

Are my roots going to tighten up?

Dread Maintenance

Aright, so about 4 days ago at around 11 at night I finally decided to go for dreads, did them all myself, except a part at the very back of my hair which I had someone back comb later but i guess they just completely came undone. I never sectioned them, just took parts and back combed, so thats probably why the back of my hair looks so shitty. Anyways my question is, Will my roots ever tighten up? they are REALLY loose, and i just need to figure out what to do with them. Should I redo the back of my hair so it actually looks organized? because I have about five dreads going around the top and then the rest is just a big tangle of hair, someone help?
