They look so good!! And I love that head wrap
Ive been lightly wringing them in the shower, but not very hard. I try to be as gentle as possible. My dreads don't take long to dry at all

Something that a lot of people don't think about is...wet hair is more fragile. So remember squeeze the water out but don't twist it while you are doing it. sorry, it was just an after thought.
Thank you! That's good to hear, I just didn't want to get dread rot or anything of that nature.
I have pretty curly hair and it seems that quite a few of my locks are trying to blunt themselves. At least that's what it looks like. I'm only about 2 1/2 months into the process so there is still a bit of wispy hair at the end but im pretty sure that will get sucked up into the loc. I've read that blunted tips can be bad for dreads because it prevents water from escaping them. Should I do anything to prevent this or just let them be? I haven't done anything so far to stop them. I'll post some pictures of a few I'm concerned about
I fear that the same thing may be happening to me. I'm almost 3 months in but i have a lot of hair that are worked into multiple dreads. Not sure what to do.
Yeah I shed a crazy amount of hair before I dread my hair. Like more than normal I think. I'd have handfuls come out in the shower and then even more throughout the day. I don't have bad scalp though, just thick hair. Could that maybe be the reason? It seems that only the bottom layers of my dreads are scratchy and not really the top. That is still soft. Also the thicker parts of my dreads where it is knotting up the most if the most rough.
The only thing I've done was lightly TnR them in the beginning and thenseparatesince then. Idk maybe they just seem so rough because my hair was so soft to begin with and I'm not used to it. I haven't crocheted or backcombed or palmrolled or anything like that.
I'll try out the jojoba oil. I have a bottle of it because I used to use it on my face to make my skin less oily.
Thanks for the replies
