I saw an episode of Whisker Wars and one of the contestants in the all natural category of beards had them I believe he came in the top 3 over all The guy was near 7 foot and they were to his ankles. I've had a goatee since I've been old enough to shave and in the last few months have stopped trimming and I like how they look.

What do you think of facial hair dreads? after two BS washes where I allowed the water to run down my face my beard is beginning to knot up and form loose baby dreads I like just want to know your thoughts.

I'm only on day four of my journey to dreads and what few knots I have aren't noticeable enough to make people want to say something to me my uncle gets disgusted when I talk about it or give the reason why I don't comb my hair. I ignore him and continue my journey. The rest of the family is supportive of my choice to start dreads.
Dreadlocks competition and events.

I was just wondering. Are there are any Dreadlocks competitions like there are for mustaches and beards?
It would be an interesting event in my opinion and you would have the opportunity to meet awesome people, have fun, and even travel. What are your thoughts on such an event if one does or were to exist?

If someone insults me the way they called Soaring Eagle a dirty hippy or whatever comment they come up with I take it as a compliment Smile and say thank you. It may surprise them and sometimes they never insult me again especially if they find out what asshole I can be, but I try not to be mean

My hair was shoulder length but I had to cut it when I started at subway Now that I'm no longer working there I'm starting dreads the baking soda and sea salt method works well it made my hair curl up and Knot just a day or two after I got rid of my combs. Right now my hair is only 4 or 5 inches long and I wish I never cut it.

General Questions
I'm on day 2 of my journey and did a BS and sea salt wash yesterday (day 1) and my hair curled up afterward and is still just as curly dry.I have started a journal to help keep track of what i do and don't do to it. Is it to early to do BS and sea salt wash? Will using dread soap help this early in my journey? I looked at the site mentioned on here and found Dragons Blood scented soaps which also happens to be my favorite incense and I have to admit I am excited to try that out. Which do you recommend liquid or bar soap?
