Crochet, 16 dreads, HUGE sections

crochet and dread tools recovery

I would probably comb them out and then either go with neglect, or a very gentle TnR --> Neglect. (though neglect would probably be best, your hair has been through enough!)

Are Salons Worth it?

Dread Maintenance

oh. my. gross. those poor people!
Salons are not worth it, even when i had wavy hair i would cut it myself. Also, there is no such thing as 'Caucasian dreadlocks'. They're just dreads. Skin has nothing to do with it.
The bumbs lumps zig zags and loops and frizzies are all necessary in order for dreads to mature.
If your looking for them to feel tighter read this thread.

New Dreadie! Hello Everyone!

Introduce Yourself

Hello! Glad you've joined the site. :) I personally use a headband and tie it back (I work fast food.) Have you tried stuffing it in a hair net? A tam would work as well, if not better, even if there is some extra room in it. :) If you plan on having dreads for awhile you might as well get one.. :)

I Have been freeforming from a fade for a year, my hair isn't even an inch long?

Introduce Yourself

I feel like it seems naturally separated horizontally, but you might try separating vertically, if that makes sense. good luck my dear!
