White stuff in my locks... HELP!

Introduce Yourself

This may sound nuts to some but a VINEGAR bath will loosen all of the bits that cling and then embed in your Dreads. about twice a year I take a gallon of high quality, organic Cider Vinegar and soak my Dreads then wrap them (I use a large shower cap} for 30 minutes or so then rinse thoroughly and wash as usual. never have a smell and all of the follicles, skin, oddities, my Dreads have gathered are gone. the vinegar somehow unglues, for a better term, all of them. Hope this helps.

essential oils for dreads and scalp health

Dread Products

Ihave been using the same homemade mixture on my locks since I stopped brushing over four years ago. Into a two cup spray bottle I add 1/2 bottle Organic Witch Hazel w/Aloe, five drops tea tree essential oil, five drops peppermint oil, five drops citrus(your preference, I like grapefruit), 5 drops tea tree, drop or two neem oil and fill with water. I use it 3-5 times a day but I have VERY dry, coarse, curly hair and need the moisture to help prevent breakage. 2-3 would prob. be sufficient for most. the peppermint helps w/itching, citrus and TT and mint repel bugs, aloe for condition, WH and TT for disenfecting props. all around a great little bottle of joy!
