yeah i thought it was goin kinda slow.. i wash with bs twice a week and spray with sea salt water every now and again. other than that just let it be. and I don't really get winter weather here in Orlando and rarely ever had passengers 
but i feel it was a good decision for me in the position i am in.
Hi all. I am about 4 months into natural dreading with less than extraordinary progress. Well its not horrible i guess but I have recently purchased a new motorcycle as my only vehicle and i am afraid my helmet is slowing the process even more. how much of an issue is it and is there anything that can be done to make a lesser impact of progress? thanks a ton! anyways, pics of where i was as of about 3 or so weeks ago. basically the same now
ohh man i've been pulling them out.. i always wondered about that but it makes sense not to. i will try my best not to anymore lol

i agree with taye. unless you have bald spots on your scalp than its most likely normal shedding. i still shed hair at 10 months but i still have a lot of unlocked hair. once it all locks up they will just dread into the locs. its frustrating and irritating but i wouldn't be too concerned.
oh and don't do what i use to do and see hairs hanging down and pull them out. just because they look like they're coming out doesn't mean they wont grab onto the dread they're coming from eventually. now i just let them hang there. if they fall out then oh well but they might grab on and that just mean thicker dreads in the end

hey everybody. so tuesday i did my first bs wash and i quit wearing my ball cap i got a Buff to wear to work. no progress on the hair really tho.. it kinda looks like its sectioning itself off and its starting to tangle pretty good. but nothing really pic worthy. i am going to the health food store to try to find some rosemary and tea tree oils for some good smelling bs shampoo. hope everybody has a great weekend!! peace

haha ive never been told that thanks! i got my cotton tam in the mail today!! now i will start wearing it to work instead of tying my hair back and wearing a cap. i work in printing so my hair always has to be out of the way of machinery and what not. i still havent made it to the store to get BS and other necessities.. but i havent brushed my hair since i started this thread and have only cleaned my scalp with the shampoo i do have a couple times. everybody i tell about me dreading my hair the natural way thinks its going to be stinky and look bad haha but the best excuse i can tell them is "its just hair" so they leave it alone after that.
