Dandruff help

Introduce Yourself

so i got severe dandruff and I'm doing a BS/ACV (32ounce bottle) wash 2-3 times a week. im using 15 drops tea tree, 15 drops Rosemary, 15 drops drops lavender. i use 1/4C baking soda in the mixture as well. i get my hair wet in the shower, then dump the mixture on my head and gently massage it into my scalp then let it sit for 10 minutes. during that time i go make my ACV rinse with the same amount of essential oils and then i rinse out the BS wash and then dump the ACV on my head then immediately rinse it out. my dandruff seems to come out after those types of washes but after a 3 days of washing i have a heavy build up of dandruff close to the roots. should i be taking any other precautions do get rid of this dandruff? is there a way i can stop it from happening in the first place? i started using a multi vatiman and biotin and ive also heard that auiphils supplements can help (incorrect spelling) and should i be massaging the BS/ACV into my scalp? its just a gentle massage and my hair isnt long enough to dread yet but i want to be educated as much as possible about this. Also ive heard about making a special essential oil mixture to spray and leave on my scalp. also am i using too much essential oil for 32 ounces of water? and are there other essential oils i should be using for dandruff? thank you everyone

Keeping your dreads back while at work?

Dread Maintenance

im going to be a nurse and im going to have to wear my dreads back to keep em outta my face. My question for all of you is what is the best way to do this? "best" meaning which way wouldnt affect my roots and still allow my hair to dread properly. I saw a guy with matured natural dreads that were down all of his back and he kept a hair tie to wear them back. His hair, above the hair tie, (closest to the scalp) looked almost completely undreaded. is this most likely because he wore a hair tie all the time causing his roots not to move freely? thus not dreading? so should i just tie them back with other dreads when the time comes? or is using a loose headband a better option? would wearing a hair tie while just at work be acceptable to allow my hair to dread/stay dreaded? thanks

What should i use?

Dread Maintenance

which type of shampoo would be most effective off the dreadlockshampoo site? The bar tpes or the liquid types? my hair still isnt to long yet, maybe about 3 inches. I have been using dr bronners for awhile, should i use one of the dreadlockshampoos? or BS/ACV? give me your opinions. I want to stick with 1 method of washing my hair

Essential Oil mixtures

Introduce Yourself

where/how can can i find SE's discussion about what essential oils a tore used mix together to help with certain hair types/situations. I just purchased organic Aura Cacia brand essential oils, Lavender, Rosemary, Roman Chamomile, and peppermint. Those just came to mind

Pre-hair cut?

Introduce Yourself

My head was buzzed very short about a month ago and ever since I started the natural process of dreads. Was wondering if I should be getting my hair cut once I actually gain some length, or should I let it be. Will getting long hair trimmed up a little make your goat dread faster or no?
