Dr Bronners vs Dreadlockshampoo

General Questions

I've been using bronners for a few weeks here, cause I'm finding I'm too sensitive skinned to use the bs/acv regularly. It's alright I guess, but here in northern Ohio I guess the water is too hard, and I have to do a weak and short bs rinse to make my hair feel squeakie clean. I'm stoked though as I have a goddess bar on the way and can't wait for something simple. I'll let you know how it goes!

Care for Tarnished beads

Dread Accessories

This is what I do with my cheapo jewelry from Claire's when it tarnishes. Mayhaps with your new water the bs is just not strong enough.
Mix 2 tbsp. water with 1/4 cup baking soda to create a paste. Dampen a clean sponge with cool water and dip the sponge into the paste.

Rub the tarnished silver with the sponge. Continuing applying more paste and rubbing the silver until you have removed the tarnish.

Rinse the paste residue off the silver and buff dry with a lint free towel. If the tarnish does not come off, could it be that the silver/nickel plating is eroded and you now have tarnished copper beads?

Scalp treatment for baby dreads

Dread Maintenance

The ratio of bs mentioned above may be a bit weak. I started with a weaker mix in the beginning and it made the itching worse. It should be 1/2 cup bs(about 6 tablespoons) to 5 cups water. And I always mix it with a bit warmer water than I like it, cause the chemical reaction causes it to fizz and cool. And as mentioned above, dont rinse with the acv (for baby dreads like 1 cap full to 5cuos water) until you've rinses the bs out well.

New Items Added To Mischievous Stitches

General Talk

I know I saw something similar on pintrest and fell in love. I have since made myself one in rainbow, the black and amethyst, black and frosty green fleck. I'm currently working on another non cinched more classic tam. I'm loving the ribbed bands though.

New Items Added To Mischievous Stitches

General Talk

I added a two tone striped Tam/Neck Warmer, and a Solid color Tam/Neck Warmer. These tams can be worn cinched fully as a tam, partially un-cinched as a headband/ear muff with your dreads poking out the back, and can be worn around the neck as a neck warmer scarf. You can click this link to the shop, or check the hats section in the shops page. Also! If you like my creations please like my Facebook Page.
