essential oils for dreads and scalp health

Dread Products

The recipe up there for dandruff, Im not really getting. Can I just add more drops of whats recommended into maybe half a gallon of water, pour over my head and let sit a few minutes and rinse? Im having really bad dandruff and need a solution. Also, it says that I can use some oils in my rinse and not wash them out and leave them in my hair. Does this mean that after my BS wash, I can soak my hair with water mixed with some drops of , lets say lemon oil and maybe lavender, and not rinse it out all week until I shower next? Or is it okay to only leave certain essential oils in my hair all week? Im kinda confused here.

what kind of sea salt do you use? Does it have to be non iodized?

hats/ bandanas in the beginning?

General Questions

After only a month into my journey i found this site, ditched the hair puddy and elastics and all that and have given myself to the neglect method and i love it. I understand that because i back combed my hair, im going to have a lot of loose hairs and alots going to change but one thing that concerns me is that i have to wear a bandanna on my hair, then over that i have to put on a Bennie to cover up my hair because i work with food. This seems like the only thing i can do because my hair isn't long enough to tie back. I was wondering if wearing this on my head as much as i do, because i work a good, well only hinder the lockin process or if it doesnt really do much. and also, the hats leave my dreads looking flat, snice im wearing it a good amount and my dreads are so young, will this be like "teaching the dreads" to grow in flat?
