crochet dreads tend to be visibly stiff either way too straight, or curling forwards around the face (depends on who maintained them) they don't hang like normal h

the scratchiness would be from the broken hairs making them feel like steel wool and itchy
are they stiff at all do they feel scratchy or rough
sometimes I pull my shirt up over my head leaving the neckhole just above hairline and dreads coming out the bottom (waist end) ..dont do it all the time but maybe try that on nights the front ones bug ya
yes and maybe too soon to condition unless they are really in desperate need. I will say the conditioner takes more rinsing then any other produts
are you using bars or liquid ..wait your dreads are fairly old aren't they? and still 2 inches looe at the roots?
condition the parts that need it the most..if your using liquid switch from bars to liquid from time o time you migt not need to condition just a break from the sea salt
post before and after pics and.. collect the rinse water in a bowl or bucket photograph what it looks like
do not crochet do not even own a crochet hook!
