my dreads began there in vermont in 91, my profile pic was from that gathering in the 1st vid

some of these same people actualy this kitchen legally registered to everybody

showed up in my neighborhood in 2000.. well a crack hood 3 blocks away which began a decade of that hood being transformed into a safe zone a love zone  a protected zone..

so yea .. ..kinda feels like most of my life

know people conceived and born there who grew up there year after year others whove gotten old  and passed on .. i wouldnt be who i am without the connection with all of them.

vermin helped us start lots of love in my neighbourhood (i'd say i did 80% of the physical labor really hurting myself bad the 1st 6 months)

we have a rainbow peace fleet an european caravan a rainbow island and big chunks of land for all practical purposes owned by everybody.

we don't go to see bands but to be musicians. we don't go to attend an vent but be the event. make it what it is.

and 100% of the dreads there are natural (pls theres a dozen or more weddings and often a birth or 2)

and the musics better then ay gigs shows or fests

and they are everywhere in the world (but bigger and more often here)

had an ex gf (what was i thinking) who had literally a shopping cart full of makeup when she moved in, she spent 4 hours getting ready to go to the corner store to buy a soda. she then spent my whole patycheck on makeup.. 1500 dolars at a time

yup its progressing  but its only been a couple days

speaking of makeup, there was a young asian girl, just 14 who always wanted to look 'perfect" so wore makeup all the time, never taking it off, even while she slept

in just 4 years  this aged her skin over 40 years, when a dermatologist finally convinced her to remove it she looked 55!

she was just 18 when she stopped wearing makeup, but her skin  had aged horribly.

i don't understand why anyone would ever want that.

if theres truly no progress (which i see thick dreads forming) then theres nothing to comb out just tnr the existing sections

if theres anything to comb out you have definite progress  and you wilt simply be destroying many months of progress to tnr with no guarantees they will progress any faster

but to comb out yes use lots of conditioner a  brush or comb and do it slow and gente

if theres really no knotting simple finger combing would do

if you can't run your fingers through it and detangle it then you are already dreading nicely

stop saving the sides

the hair will need to grow in a d reconnect theres nothing else that will help but letting the hair regrow

stick with it check out ixchelles dreads hers took a very long time to dread but the end result  was epic.. the longer they take the more you appreciate them in the end

if yu do start over by all means tnr..do not crochet!

but i would just wait it out thy wil get tere in the end
