1 what are you washing with

2 are you towel drying

3 do not use hair ties  use your dreads or nothing

4 some sections look pretty big/

5 don't change  your life to dread dread to change your life.  it doesn't matter if it takes 8 months or 18  but to change what you enjoy doing simply to help it dread  is really not understanding the why of dreads, your not trying to achieve a look but a freedom a lifestyle  

final thoughts

1 try the dreadlockshamp.com liquid  it will help thm dread faster. carefully scrub the roots then rinse through.. do not towel dry that will unknot them in a hurry

2 dont tie them back or up at all  unles you absolutely must and then use your dreads themselves 

3 run run run  if thats what you enjoy (though competition  shouldn't be the point of being healthy and atie  don't overexert youself as if you got to win  just run or lift if yu feel you want t.. i don't know why youd feel like you have to unless your ot of shape and need to get into shape

4 relax your hairs dreading tnr often loosens and falls apart

if yu washwith the right shampoo  and don't towel dry..it wil dread..maye not fast ..but then again maybe it will

running will not hurt and if they are  left down to move freely it will help

stop using the baking soda if you still use it

try the charcoal detox shampoo

otherwise  dont worry too much   your going to have some lint and dead skin  cells  

the baking soda eats off the skin so likely will increase it

just so you're aware, vickis shampoos are flat rate shipping so you can get 6 bars or 4 liquids for that same shipping ...a years supply almost.. higher up front cost to get that much at once but the shipings reasonable that way

and no offence haha but  been trying to figure out if your name had any special significance and wouldn't have guessed ya had a wife haha

but i guess the name can have multiple connotations

ask her if she thinks your not human or something.

explain that iif your human and have hair  that grows (as apposed to fur)  it will dread.

the only wrong hair type for dreads is fur that  never grows long enough to dread.

now fur will dread  as any dog groomer will tell you. ..poodles  dread relatively short  due to the texture. then there are mules and dog breeds and other  animals with longer fur that dreads  regardless of texture.

if your hair or fur is over 6 inches  it sure will dread

in summer i use cold for whole wash in winter i use 'not too cold' for wash and cold rinse.

its not exactly warm  nor cold either..typically 2-4 degrees above or below the room temp

shivering in the showers not good so i keep it  just warm enough to not be too cold

im sure it will my scalp was a mess before i started doing both. its made a huge difference.

wash more often, stop using hot water

the www.dreadlockshampoo.com teatree rosemary is amazing for dandruff (bars for mature or African hair type dreads, liquid for Caucasian and others  if the dreads are young)

hot water probably causes most dry scalp conditions
