ACV ? whats that. I used a little baking soda, and some liquid green tea and a little bit of water to make a paste. worked nicely and my hair feels so amazing after not washing it for like a week.
Sara M~ )O( said:Michael it's usually 1 tablespoon of baking soda [some people call it bicarb, in case you ever see that] to one cup of water. And the same ratio of ACV to water if you are going to use ACV. But don't use too much because it does condition your hair and it can also cause it to be a bit more oily. Mix the soda with the water, run it down your hair in the shower, and do the same with the acv/water [if you're gonna use it]. I would suggest *rinsing* with cold water, not warm/hot. Good luck. Oh and don't wash your hair every day. It may take a while for your scalp to adjust, you might have to go 3-4 days at a time for a couple weeks, and then longer after that. Try to get it to where you only have to wash once a week. I am in that process right now, actually.
the baking soda acv with teatree rosemary and pepermint will get rid of dandruff
baking soda for now then get 1 from www.dreadlockshampoo.com
search the site for the baking soda wash info
wash em in the shower instead
dont wait to wash a few days is ok but no more
hats and opulling em back all the time can absolutely slow progress as well as make em congo more
the more u let em loose the better

I live in a college dorm so I dont have plants. Is there a company that has something that contains 100% aloe?
Baba Fats said:most people loose between 1/3 and 1/2 of their original length.
No reason to keep the frizzies at bay unless you have somewhere to go like a wedding or such. Then you can use 100% aloe and take just a little and palm roll it onto each lock. As it dries it shrinks and pulls int those frizzies. But again, there's no real need to do anything. Those loose hairs get tangled and pulled into the lock helping tighten them and give them moregirth
id also recomend natural but tnr isnt a bad choice just do it gently not too tight
why would u want to contriol the sizes besides keeping em from getting too big?
they look best all diferent sizes
your bummed that they are loose when thety are just 2 weeks old? how do u expect them to be fully formed mature dreads in weeks? it takes time! they tighten slowly as knots form and tighten and dreads shrink.. the 1st 2-3 months after backcombing will be more loosening then tightening but its part of the process
dont worry dont get bummed..enjoty the journey!
