mine don't move they stay in years and years till they fall out. as long as they aren't long (3/4 inch or shorter) dryings not a big deal..long beads are a huge issue though

stop everything your doing! let them heal accept the frizz it will always be there but you made it 100 times worse with the evil hook
it will improbve however it will just take time
the shampoo recommended is the best the liquid will help the roots dread up
but you cant have dreads without frizz the thing is its less noticible to others then it is to you..you look at them too closely and too criticaly
do what I do... use shadows not mirrors in a shadow you can see a dread sticking out weird and rearrange it but cant see every lil hair
I never look in a mirror unless I got a bad sunburn or something in my eye..never to look at my hair

any hair will dread very oily hair just dreads slower.
you git to think however about all the pollutants in the air, in cities you get tire rubber and burnt oil that gets thick like tar on your skin if you dont wash.
we had 1 guy with red dreads who hadn't washed in 8 years and his reasoning was "they can't be that dirty they haven't turned black yet"
we have had others who had mid back dreads never washed who complained about the weight.... 3/4 of that weight being dirt not hair
washing your hairs healthy if you lay in the grass your exposing your scalp o staph mersa ecoli anthrax and hundreds of other potentially deadly viruses and bacteria, the diference is you need several billion to get sick, if your never washing your hair and allowing these to cultivate eventualy you'll have that critical mass need to get very sick indeed

I have deep respect for rastas, but I understand what rastas about too
ofcourse as is with all religions theres some rasta beliefs I do not agree with
I get called rasta from time to time often by rastas and I take it as a sign of deep respect, from others I might explain that I am not rasta although I lean more towards rasta and native American beliefs then any others out there.
rastas believe Jah Rastafari who was emperor of Ethiopia is god. they also believe in the bible, especially revelations. the reasons for dreading is very similar to the nazarite vow. they follow a strict diet called ital very similar to the nazarite diet. they are extremely devoted. not all rastas have dreads nor smoke weed but weed is a "seed bearing plant' they use as a sacrament. holding "reasoning' sessions rastas like bob marley would rather die then lose a toe bob had cancer a amputated toe would have saved his life but the body, like the hair must remain whole.

server will be upgraded this week, but cause i'm so broke realy could use any donations you can spare. I don't ask for donations ever and rarely receive any but this time it would be a huge help.
my accounts in the negative (thats ok donations go into paypal and will pay for server with paypal)
it will cost about 300 to fix all the server issues and drasticly increase the speed. I can't expect that much in donations but any lil bit will be a huge help

conditioners are why they aren't locking up, conditioners main purpose is to prevent tangling
hair thats kinda dry will dread way faster if your African decent you might wnt a lil at times since your hair tends to be very dry and brittle, otherwise any other race using sea salt to dry the hair out and reduce oiliness will make it dread a lot faster

you don't need to "make dreads' at all as the sides grow in new dreads will form all on their own. it just needs to get long enough then it will happen all by itself

hi, like was asked what method, what you wash with an how often are all important
my initial suggestions
1 wash with either the teatree or patchouli from dreadlockshampoo.com try both to see which is most effective
2 wash only with cool to cold water rinsing as cold as you can stand (in winter wash with just ever so slightly warm just enough to not be cold still rinse cold)
3 was every 2 or 3 days weekly is a minimum but if you start seeing symptoms on day 3 wash on day 3
4 skip the honey for now to see how effective this is honey, medical grade honey is great on burns sunburns that sort of thing but its possibly going to clog pores and while it provides some relief to itches i'm not sure its the most appropriate treatment tearea and rosemary are great for dandruff and dermatitis and patchouli for psoriasis. however you may just be dealing with nothing more then common dry flaky scalp which hot water alone can cause.
